Victoria Falls is quite simply a ‘must-see’, awe-inspiring sight. Described as one of the seven natural wonders of the world, it offers both natural beauty and grandeur as the Zambezi River plummets over a width of neatly two kilometres into the gorge one hundred meters below. In our experience a two-three day trip to Victoria Falls is about the right amount of time you need to take in this magnificent location, which is why we offer it as an excursion that can be added to many of our African safaris”
Our Victoria Falls package can be taken as an ‘add-on’ to any of our South African safaris, or as a separate stand alone tour.
We start and end at Johannesburg (OR Tambo) International Airport and our price include flights from Joburg to Victoria Falls and transfers as shown.
Victoria Falls presents a spectacular sight of awe-inspiring beauty and grandeur on the Zambezi River, forming the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It was described by the Kololo tribe living in the area in the 1800’s as ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ – ‘The Smoke that Thunders’. In more modern terms Victoria Falls is known as the greatest curtain of falling water in the world.

Although it’s quite small, the town of Victoria Falls offers opportunities for souvenir shopping, there is a large craft market at the rear of the Post Office as well as numerous small boutique shops along the main street. The main street also has several restaurants and cafes to enjoy a coffee break, lunch or dinner.
Day 3
After breakfast at your hotel, you have the day to enjoy the magnificent Victoria Falls.
You can take a guided walk to see the falls, but our advice is to walk the Vic Falls footpath under your own steam. The path from the entrance gate is clearly marked an you can read about the salient points on the info boards inside.
Day 4
After a leisurely breakfast and perhaps a last visit to the falls, you will transfer back to Victoria Falls airport for your return flight to Johannesburg. You will arrive in time for most of the onward international (overnight) long haul flights to Europe and USA.
